"I can’t see how that’s worse." Zvin frowned, not really picking up on the joke. "Yeah, towns are probably a bad idea. City should be alright, I mean, you can blend in and all."
He hesitated before speaking again. On the one hand, they’d both be better off moving with another person; going alone made you seem overly-confident, seem like you had the ability to take someone out, seem…. magical. And while she could talk herself out of it, he didn’t think he could explain away the sparks when a ‘warning’ bullet grazed his arm.
And it wasn’t like he didn’t trust her. Her story was too far fetched to be made up, and she didn’t seem like the type who’d turn him in for a dime.
Even so, he sounded nervous when he spoke.
"I… was planning on going home for a couple things. If there’s anything left, I mean. But after that, if you do decide to go to the city, I’m.. probably going to head that way, too."
Star shook her head with a soft sigh. Most people who didn’t travel between worlds didn’t understand. But that was fine, it’s not like it was important for Zvin to understand anyway.
"I would really appreciate the company," Star said, accepting Zvin’s invitation. "After all I really have no idea where I am."
Voltage..you really don’t want us to boycott you. :I
Don’t make us do it.
I understand a lot of you are upset because you may not be able to afford all the routes that you wanted to play, but you still wanted to be able to enjoy them. What you don’t seem to understand is that your entertainment is at the cost of the employees’ livelihood.
Since you guys don’t seem to understand how prolific a problem pirating is, let me enlighten you.
One gaming company did an experiment, released a genuine version and a cracked version (source). [Thanks to RomPix for this, I originally saw the article thanks to her.] This was their results:
For a company, that’s a huge loss. Imagine how much Voltage was losing by those videos being up—why pay for a route when you can view a video of it for free?
Now I know it’s silly of me to be emphasizing this because the whole point of the post I am responding to is that you intend to boycott. And let’s face it, if you were watching the videos, they weren’t getting your money anyways. Nothing changes by your boycott. But I would like you understand the potential damage that it can cost the company.
Bottom line: If you give a damn about these games coming over here in English, buy them, because that’s the only incentive for the developers to keep bringing them over. If they don’t get money, they can’t afford to make them, we don’t get the games.
It looks like the gray boxes are here to stay, so I’ve written a simple extension called “Auto Load Images”, now available on the extension gallery, that loads the photos without you clicking on them first.
